EURIPA Rural Pre-Forum Exchange 2026

Are you a medical student, resident, or young family doctor interested in rural medicine? The EURIPA Rural Pre-Forum Exchange 2026 offers a unique opportunity to experience rural primary care in Spain just before the EURIPA Forum in Cartagena.

🩺 What is this programme?

This pilot initiative provides 3–4 selected participants with a 2–3 day observership in rural primary care settings across Spain. You will work alongside experienced rural family doctors, gaining first-hand insight into clinical practice, community care, and the realities of rural medicine.

The experience will conclude with your participation in the EURIPA Forum, where you will share your reflections in a dedicated “Rural Café” session.

💡 What is included?

  • Partial scholarship of €400 to support participation
  • Placement in a rural primary care setting in Spain
  • Participating and Presenting in the EURIPA Forum (Cartagena 2026)
  • Opportunity to present your experience and contribute to a European research project

📅 Key Dates

  • Application opening: 3rd May
  • Application deadline: 14th June, extended to 28 June 2026
  • Exchange programme: 2–3 days before the EURIPA Forum (September 2026)
  • EURIPA Forum: October 1st-3rd Cartagena, Spain

📝 What is expected from participants?

  • Active participation in the exchange and the EURIPA Forum
  • Contribution to the Rural Café session
  • Completion of evaluation surveys and short reflections
