A tourist trip is available for participants and guests on Saturday afternoon to Salina Ocnele Mari and Horezu.
First, we will visit the salt mine. Salt mine Ocnele Mari offers optimal conditions for relaxation, leisure and treatment: volleyball courts, basketball, football, tennis, billiards, mini-karting. For children, there are playgrounds equipped with swings, slides and swings.
In the salt mine there is a hall for organizing events, a restaurant and a wine cellar, a souvenir shop and a soft drinks and fast food shop.
Also, in the Ocnele Mari salt mine there is a church dedicated to Saint Varvara and Saint George.
After that, we will go to the city of Horezu. The city of Horezu is known as an ethnographic center and as an old center of folk ceramics. From the point of view of traditional occupations, Horezu is known as the area for fruit growing, animal husbandry, pottery, exploitation and wood processing. Pottery continues to represent the emblem of the place. It should also be noted the privileged position in the north of Oltenia where there is the largest concentration of monasteries in the country, most of them being near Horez. These cultural values located in an area with rich flora and fauna, with special landscapes, attract tourists to this blessed land with great tourist potential where we are waiting for you to discover them.
We will visit a traditional pottery factory where you will be able to practice this ancient profession in Romania, but also a carrier of cultural values. Also here, you will be able to purchase souvenirs that consist of traditional Romanian elements.
The visit will end with a traditional Romanian meal at a guesthouse in the area.
The trip will cost 35 euro and it starts at 14:00 and returns to the Forum venue at 22:00 and will include an evening meal (the dinner price will be paid separately).
