I am delighted to welcome you the 12th EURIPA Rural Health Forum, which will be held in Călimănești-Căciulata, Romania, from 19th – 21st October 2023.

The theme for our Forum this year is:

Rural Family Medicine – looking to the future

It will be a great honour to welcome you all to Romania. In the 12 years since Romania hosted a EURIPA Rural Health Forum so much has changed and we anticipate more changes to come. The Forum will look forward, exploring opportunities and aiming to be solution focussed for Rural Family Medicine, in order to address challenges that everyone is currently facing across Europe. A key theme that will be explored in different ways is developing a rural health workforce that is fit for purpose and sustainable. Other themes will explore the extended range of skills and competencies needed to work in rural and isolated areas.

We plan to hold the entire event at Călimănești-Căciulata, which will coincide with the annual conference of the Romanian National Society of Family Medicine/ General Practice. The event will take place in the hotel "Complex Balnear Cozia".  The welcome reception, coffee breaks and lunches will take place at the conference venue and the Rural Dinner will take place locally with traditional Romanian specialities.

We will also make sure you have the opportunity to explore our amazing country; a trip will be available on the Saturday afternoon.
